literally, Without Breasts There Is No Paradise) is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by the United States-based television network Telemundo.[1] It is adapted from Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso, a 2006 Caracol TV serial, which was a hit in Colombia.

Paraíso's story is based on investigative journalist Gustavo Bolivar's eponymous debut novel. It features an attractive young prostitute who seeks massive breast implants to attract a rich cocaine smuggler.[2] The original version's finale scored a record 63 percent share of Colombian viewers.[3] Telemundo claims its version is "set to launch a new era in television"[4]

Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso replaced Pecados Ajenos in Telemundo's 10 p.m. (ET/PT) time slot on June 16, 2008.[5] Telemundo began shooting the series at Telemundo's production centers in Bogota and Girardot, Colombia, as well as its studio in Durango, Mexico,[6] on April 15, 2008. It euphemistically said this melodrama is about "a young woman "who makes the wrong decisions in order to escape poverty

Paraíso tells the story of 17-year-old Catalina (Carmen Villalobos), a gorgeous young girl who descends into a decadent world of easy money as a teen prostitute.[8] She comes from a poor single-parent family and her brother works as a hired killer for drug traffickers. The girl dreams of a life of luxury, but she is not bosomy enough to attract a wealthy pusher whom she can seduce into making her a pampered paramour.[9]

Sick of poverty, Catalina decides that plastic surgery will help her find a new life. During her pursuit, she is raped, gets an abortion and dives into the sex trade.[10] She sells her body to raise money for breast augmentation.[11] After five operations, she loses the will to live and considers suicide.[12]

When desire for success turns into blind ambition, it can lead you to the edge, to lose what you value, including your very life.

"Without Breasts there is no Paradise" is a story about Catalina, a young girl from a small town and humble origins. She is determined to risk everything to get out of poverty and realize her dreams, without worrying about what she must risk, like her life and her integrity. Catalina and her brother Bayron grew up wiht their mother, Hilda, a beautiful woman who is capable of doing whatever to advance her children's futures.

Bayron is tired of his situation and lets himself be seduced by the extravagant world of Titi, a neighbor who found a fast way out of poverty becoming a mafioso. He starts to follow his footsteps to become one of his boys, even flirting with death. Catalina is beautiful but not voluptuous (busty), an attribute that is esteemed by the women in town and the reason for the possibility to work as prostitutes for the powerful men in town, who are also drug traffickers.

Yesica, Catalina's best friend, entered the world of pre-paid sex/prostitution with her own business. She recruits, picks, and lead other women who the mafiosis then pay her in advance for sexual services. She leads Catalino to the abyss through her desire to climb out of poverty.

Once inside that world, Catalino succumbs to the manipulacion of Lorena, who, along with Martinez- an important drug trafficker from Juarez, convinces the young, naive, girls to get breast surgery so they can get a better life in another country. What they don't know is that they will be used as drug mules, with drugs implanted in their implants, bringing the drugs to Mexico. Catalina is blinded by this world of wealth and luxury and decides to leave her romantic relationship/engagement to Alberio, a young man in town with few aspirations but who loves her nonetheless.

She searches for someone to pay for her breast implant surgery (silicon implants), so that she can enter the inner circle. (You'd think they'd at least pay for the implants!!) A series of obstacles and missteps confront Catalina and lead her to suffer the worst humiliations, as well as physical and emotional abuse, just for her ambitions, in the midst of a hellish reality with a fine line between desire & money and ruin & tragedy.

In the midst of poverty and deprivation, they confront a reality that they hate and aspire to a better life adn to get all the wealth that they mistakenly believe constitutes happiness.
